[Letter], 1915 June 7 : Kennebunkport, Me. [to] Mr. Lorin L. Raker, New York / Booth Tarkington.

Letter written concerning Mr. Raker's desire to make "Penrod" into a vaudeville sketch or a play including the need for finding a playwright and a manager. Mr. Tarkington says that he could not personally do it as the material does not take a theatrical form in his mind nor does he have the time. He gives Mr. Raker permission to proceed including trying out a sketch in vaudeville for a couple of weeks without royalties to see if it works. If successful then arrangements could be made to continue or to have a play written based on the strength of the vaudeville engagement.
